Monday, July 16, 7:00 - 8:30 pm Irondequoit Public Library, 1290 Titus Ave., Rochester, NY
Did you know that many under-served women and girls regularly miss work and school during their menstrual cycle? They can’t afford tampons and pads! A local group is doing something about this. Gina Horowitz from the P.A.D. Project Initiative (Providing Access and Dignity) will speak about Period Poverty and how the PAD Project organize "Kit Parties" and lobby for legislative changes.
Bring a box of tampons or pads to donate.
At our July meeting we will also discuss opposition to Trump's Supreme Court justice nominee, marching in the July 21 Pride Parade, our August 7 Black / African American Women Equal Pay Day protest and our August picnic.
Note our location change.
You do not need to be a NOW member to attend.
