Women’s Equality Day

The 19th amendment was ratified on this date in 1920 and women finally won the right to vote. Today, NOW continues to fight for voting rights and works on such urgent priorities as access to early voting, prohibiting partisan gerrymandering, expanding same-day voter registration and voting by mail, and making it illegal to prevent someone from registering. These priorities can't wait - we need them now!
