Women and Leadership, Rochester Style

Friday, January 25, 2019, 3:00 - 4:00 pmĀ  University of Rochester, Wilson Commons Building, Conference Room 121

A Historical Overview of Women's Leadership from Abolition, Suffrage to Equality

From the influence of Haudenosaunsee (Iroquois) women, to a radical Hicksite Quaker, to a stubborn teacher who demanded equal pay as a principal, to community activists who turned their passions into economic, social and political success, Rochester women have historically mobilized for equality. Come learn more about these path blazers and the qualities that defined their leadership and success.

Presented by Jane Plitt, University of Rochester Visiting Scholar.

Seating is limited - RSVP by Tuesday, January 22 to sbac@ur.rochester.edu.
